Stephanie Bruntz is the owner and designer at Stephanie Bruntz Designs. She specializes in unique designs tailored to meet the needs of each individual client and places great emphasis on customer service. She feels that each client needs time and attention to get the project just right, no matter how large or small. Stephanie loves the entire process of making a project become reality. She can visualize from the very beginning what the project will become upon completion. This is a great asset for her clients as it ensures a successful design that is in harmony with the rest of the home, whether it be a remodel or new construction. Stephanie enjoys taking time to get to know each client in order to create a design that will best complement each client's tastes and goals for the overall functionality of their space.
Stephanie is a 2003 graduate from the University of Nebraska at Kearney where she earned her degree in Interior Design with an emphasis in Kitchen and Bath Design while also running cross country and track for the Lopers. After graduation she moved to Wichita, Kansas to begin her kitchen and bath design career. In 2007 she became a CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer). She and her husband Josh lived and worked in Wichita until moving back to Kearney at the end of 2010 to be closer to family. Stephanie continued her design career in Kearney by taking on the challenge of overseeing the creation of Studio B Design. She managed Studio B Design from 2011 until 2016 at which point she and Josh decided to take the leap to open their own showroom, Stephanie Bruntz Designs. Stephanie has had the privilege to work on projects in Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma and abroad. Stephanie loves spending time with Josh and their two daughters - Olivia & Mariah, running, cake decorating, home remodeling projects and yard work/landscaping. She was raised on a farm where she worked as a farmhand for her parents until she moved to Wichita after college. She is very grateful and blessed to have values and work ethic that her parents instilled on the family farm.
Jennie Ritter is the design assistant at Stephanie Bruntz Designs. She has been working with Stephanie since February of 2020. Jennie takes care of drawing rooms per the builders’ and designer’s specifications, sketching tile designs, ordering materials, collaborating with vendors to obtain new and unique samples for the showroom, assisting Stephanie when she is meeting with clients in the showroom, and anything else that happens to come up. In her short time here, she has already attended a multi-day training on custom cabinetry design and received on-the-job training using an interior design program called 2020 Design.
Jennie received her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 2001. She went on to teach for several years. She then decided to get her Master’s Degree in Administration from Missouri State University. Eventually, she began pursuing her Doctoral degree in Curriculum Design and Administration from Evangel University. These degrees and success in the classroom led her to the path of becoming a District Administrator in charge of the elementary schools in Republic, Missouri. She really enjoyed her time in the educational field. It was a successful and rewarding time. However, she had always had a passion for interior design. She is currently pursuing a degree from the Interior Design Institute in the area of interior design.
Jennie and her husband moved back to Nebraska to be closer to family when their two children went away for college. She thought this would be a perfect time for a career shift. She started a house-flipping business in Grand Island, Nebraska. Once that business was self-sustaining, she knew that she wanted to begin receiving formal training in the area of interior design. That is when she sought employment at Stephanie Bruntz Designs. When she is not at work, she and her husband love to be at the lake boating, fishing, skiing, and grilling outdoors. They also thoroughly enjoy golfing, taking long walks, and spending time with family.
Andrea Thompson is a design assistant at Stephanie Bruntz Designs and has been working with Stephanie since June of 2021. Andrea graduated from UNK with a bachelors in Interior and Product Design in May of 2021. Her responsibilities include modeling out designs for clients in the program 2020 as well as assisting with measuring on site, collaborating with the other designers in the office, and anything else asked of her.
She has lived in the Kearney area since 2012 and now has a growing family of her own with a beautiful little girl and another on the way. Both her personal and professional life are green and new, and she’s so excited to continue developing her roots deeper into the community.
Kayla Magee is an Office Manager and book keeper at Stephanie Bruntz Designs. She has been working for Stephanie since March of 2021. Kayla takes care of invoices, ordering, working with Task Lighting and making sure the showroom is well stocked. She has done most of her learning on the job.
Kayla received her Business Administration Degree from Central Community College, here in Kearney, NE. While going to school, she worked for Builders Warehouse in Kearney. After working for Builders, she was then given the opportunity to work for Task Lighting out of Kearney, NE as well. She worked in their Design department as a Lighting and Power Design Specialist for close to four years. When she saw that there was an opportunity to work with Stephanie Bruntz Designs she jumped on it.
Kayla was born and raised here in Kearney, NE. When she is not working, she is with her beloved dog, Maurice (7/8th Corgi -1/8th Blue heeler). Her close friends and her, like to host murder mystery and movie nights. She hopes one day to retire to an abandoned lighthouse on the Oregon coast and raise a fleet of corgis.
