Open Living Space Transformed Into a Beautiful Kitchen & Dining Area
This client wanted to create a more open kitchen and dining space. In order to achieve this goal, an open living space was converted into a fully functional kitchen and dining room. The basement stairwell was retained but simply stowed away behind the stately kitchen stove. There was ample space to allow for large storage cabinetry to extend past the main kitchen. This space also lent itself well to the inclusion of a roomy island to provide more storage and work space in the kitchen while serving as a divider between the dining area and the main kitchen. Intricate, but light-colored back splashes create a dynamic look and also keep the area feeling bright when paired with the darker cabinets.
